Session 2: Status of Climate Downscaling Use

| Purpose: Share the current status of, and needs and challenges for, the utilisation of regional climate models and regional climate information obtained from downscaling in Asia and Pacific Countries.
Trainee representatives from various stakeholder groups are invited to present the following topics [no more than 5 slides, 10 minutes] - Experiences in performing dynamical downscaling or statistical downscaling
- Experiences in utilising climate data/information obtained from downscaling at work
- Plans or intentions in utilising climate data/information obtained from downscaling at work
- Needs and challenges for the utilisation of regional climate models and regional climate information
- Government departments or research institutes engaging in climate change impact assessments at the national level
