Prof. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh


​Prof. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand, is a member of the science panel of the Asia Pacific Clean Air Partnership (APCAP). She has 35 years of experience in research, education, consultancy, and capacity building and is internationally recognized for her work on air pollution and climate in Asia. She spends untiring efforts to provide a better characterization of air pollution issues in Asian developing countries through field measurements, emission inventory and modelling studies at urban, national, and regional scales. She has published 2 books, 110 scientific papers and 50 book chapters, and over 50 development reports. She has conducted, as PI or Co-PI, over 50 regional collaboration research projects and supervised 190 Master and 16 Ph D students. Prof. Kim Oanh got several awards and prizes, including international best journal paper awards, recognitions from Better Air Quality Conferences. She was a Fogarty Research scholar at the University of Washington and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, and a visiting professor at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies, Germany.
