Prof. Muhammed Bilal

Prof. Muhammed Bilal is serving as a Professor at the Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, (NUIST), Nanjing, China. He devised four innovative methods, namely, simplified Aerosol Retrieval Algorithm (SARA), Simplified Merge Scheme (SMS), Simplified and Robust Surface Reflectance Estimation Method, and Aerosol classification using a novel Satellite remote sensing Approach (AEROSA). He has published more than 90 research papers in top journals including Remote Sensing of Environment, Environmental Science and Technology, Journal of Geophysical Research, IEEE TGRS, Environmental Pollution, and Atmospheric Research, etc. The Jiangsu Provincial Education Department, China, has conferred him with a special title of “Distinguished Professor” based on his outstanding research achievements. In 2020, he was ranked among the top 2% World's Scientists in Meteorology & Atmospheric Sciences based on a single year contribution to science.
