AIT RRC.AP participated in the 4th Annual Gobeshona Global Conference virtual session from 10.00 - 11.00 (Bangladesh Time) on 4th March, 2024 hosted by Ministry of Environment Japan (MoEJ) and organised by Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES). Titled “Bridging Science and Policy: AP-PLAT’s practices on Locally-led Adaptation for Climate Resilient Asia-Pacific”, Dr. Osamu Mizuno made the opening remarks and Ms. Nagisa Shiiba was the moderator. Dr. Ramesh Soysa presented on AIT RRC.AP’s activities on locally led adaptation (LLA). The Adaptation Tools of FloodS, S8DS and ClimoCast were presented, and its local level applications were highlighted. The launch of the two new e-learnings featured in AP-PLAT was introduced on localised floods solutions and integrating gender and indigenous factors in locally led adaptation. The new e-learning hub in AIT RRC.AP was also introduced. Linda Anne Stevenson and Binaya Raj Sivakoti were the other speakers.
