The three-day virtual training workshop on "Strengthening Cities Resilience to Climate and Disaster Risks" was convened from 23-25 June 2021 gathering participants from Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The online training workshop aimed to assist cities and local governments in building greater resilience to climate and disaster risks through integrating climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction into wider city development plans and strategies.

The RRC.AP organized a training workshop in close collaboration with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the Educational Partnerships for Innovation in Communities – Network (EPIC – N).
