Malé Declaration has been governed and reviewed by an annual Session of the Intergovernmental Meeting, since the adoption of the Declaration in 1998. The participants of this meeting are the high level officials of  National Focal Points (NFPs) and National Implementing Agencies (NIAs) of the Male' Declaration member countries, the Secretariat,Regional Resource Centre for Asia and the Pacific (formely UNEP, RRCA.AP) , Regional Facilitator, implimenting partners and key technical advisors  of Male'  Declaration. The Intergovernmental Meeting is the policy making  body which is responsible for adopting the annual work programme and budget and  provide  guidance and decisions  on the  implementation of   Male' Declaration, among others.
