​ The national level capacity building is one of the key objectives of the Malé Declaration.  As part of the capacity building activities, National Training and  Regional Refresher Training/Workshop are regularly organised to strengthen the monitoring capacity and to discuss the issues encountered in operating the monitoring sites in each country. Several training programmes and workshops on impact assessment and monitoring transboundary air pollution were conducted during Phase II, Phase III and Phase IV Implementation of the Malé Declaration.The same activities will continue until Phase V, subject to availability of funds.
