Air Pollution Monitoring Training in Bangladesh (October, 2003)

A one-week hands-on training program on monitoring transboundary air pollution was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh during 19 to 23 October 2003. The program was organized as part of the capacity building activities under the Malé Declaration. The trainees were from various offices and laboratories of the DoE, the Departments of Meteorology and Atomic Energy.  Malé Declaration is being implemented by RRC.AP together with the National Implementing Agencies, SACEP and SEI with the financial support from Sida.

Air Pollution Monitoring Training in Iran(September, 2003)

A one-week hands-on training program on monitoring transboundary air pollution was held in Tehran, Iran,13 to 17 Sept, 2003. The program was organized as part of the capacity building activities under the Malé Declaration. Technical personnel from the Department of Environment were trained on sampling and analysis of air pollutants. Malé Declaration is being implemented by UNEP RRC.AP together with the National Implementing Agencies, SACEP and SEI with the financial support from Sida. The Department of Environment is the national implementing agency for the Malé Declaration in Iran.

Air Pollution Monitoring Training in Sri Lanka (June, 2003)

A weeklong hands-on training program on monitoring transboundary air pollution was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, 23 to 28 June, 2003. The program was organized as part of the capacity building programme under the Malè Declaration. More than 10 technical personnel from the Central Environmental Authority (CEA) were trained on sampling and analyses of air pollutants. Malè Declaration is funded by Sida and being implemented by RRC.AP together with the National Implementing Agencies, SACEP and SEI.

Air Pollution Monitoring Training in Bhutan (May/June, 2003)

A one-week hands-on training program on monitoring transboundary air pollution was held in Thimbu, Bhutan during 28 May to 1 June, 2003. The program was organized as part of the capacity building activities under the Malé Declaration. Ten technical personnel from National Environment Commission (NEC), Department of Meteorology and Ministry of Agriculture were trained on sampling and analysis of air pollutants. Malé Declaration is being implemented by RRC.AP together with the National Implementing Agencies,SACEP and SEI with the financial support from Sida.

Air Pollution Monitoring Training in Maldives (July/August, 2003)

A one-week hands-on national training program on monitoring transboundary air pollution was held in Hanimaadhu, Maldives, 28 July to 1 Aug, 2003. The program was organized as part of the capacity building activities under the Malé declaration. Technical personnel from the Department of Meteorology and Ministry of Home Affairs, Housing & Environment (MHAH&E) were trained on sampling and analysis of air pollutants. MHAH&F is the national implementing agency for the Malé Declaration in Maldives.
