The Malè Declaration First Regional Stakeholders Forum was successfully organized in Dhaka, 8 Oct 2003. It was jointly organized by SACEP, SEI, RRC.AP and Department of Environment, Bangladesh. The Forum aims to:

1. ​increase awareness on transboundary air pollution; 
2. discuss stakeholders views on the implementation of Malé Declaration; 
3. improve the information exchange between information generators and users; and d) form a regional network of Stakeholders.

Participants included National Focal Points, National Implementing Agencies and representatives from NGOs in the member countr​ies.
