​The AIT Regional Resource Centre for Asia and the Pacific (RRC.AP) supported the Secretariat for the Acid Deposition Monitoring Network in East Asia (EANET) at the UN Environment Asia and the Pacific Office in organising the Seventeenth Session of the Scientific Advisory Committee on the EANET (SAC17) at the Asia Airport Hotel, Pathumthani, Thailand, on 26-28 September 2017. The meeting was participated by the SAC members from the thirteen EANET countries, namely, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Russia, Thailand, and Vietnam. On major issues, the Session agreed on a draft Periodic Report on the State of Acid Deposition in East Asia and reviewed the Work Program and Budget of the EANET in 2018 which will be submitted for consideration and approval at the Nineteenth Session of the Intergovernmental Meeting (IG19) on the EANET on 13-14 November 2017 in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
