This SoE Report highlights five key environmental issues in Sri Lanka viz: Land Degradation by Soil Erosion,Waste Disposal, Water Pollution, Loss of Biodiversity, and Depletion of Coastal Resources. It also addressedother less crucial issues, which needs to be addresses at latter stages. In this regard the SoE Reporting can beconsidered as an effective tool that will assist or enhance the Implementation of NEAP. It can also be effective inproviding guidance to the donor community on the areas and concerns that need to be supported.
