Solomon is an environmental specialist with over 16 years of experience in the climate-water-food nexus, with core expertise in climate change adaptation and mitigation, low-carbon development, sustainable agriculture, nature-based solutions (NbS), pollution control, and waste and resource management.
At AIT RRC.AP, he leads regional and city-level climate programs and partnerships, strengthening government and institutional capacities in climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, and low-carbon strategy development across Asia and the Pacific. He also contributes to the Waste and Resource Management Cluster, supporting donor-funded initiatives and policy work in circular economy, municipal solid waste (MSW) and 3Rs, mercury waste, and marine plastic pollution.
Solomon is deeply committed to bridging science, policy, and practice through inclusive, systems-based approaches to climate action. His work emphasizes knowledge sharing, stakeholder engagement, partnership development, and capacity building.
Prior to joining AIT, Solomon served for nine years with Ghana's Ministry of Food and Agriculture, where he played a key role in advancing climate-smart agriculture, solar-powered irrigation, and soil carbon monitoring.
He holds an MSc in Environmental Engineering and Management (UNESCO-IHE & AIT), an MSc in Groundwater Resource Development (University of Ghana), and a BSc in Agricultural Engineering (KNUST).
In his spare time, Solomon enjoys playing football and badminton.
