A National Training on Strengthening Country-Level Inter-Agency Coordination on Trade of Mercury took place in Colombo. This training was a direct response to the increasing threat of mercury trafficking and the ongoing illegal trade of mercury-added products, such as skin-lightening creams, which persist despite being banned under the Minamata Convention.
