Training Workshop on Managing Project Preparation for Climate Change Adaptation

​The Training Workshop on Managing Project Preparation for Climate Change Adaptation was held at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Service Building, Bangkok, Thailand from 11 to 15 September 2017. The workshop was attended by a total of 22 participants from 15 countries in the region, as well as by observers from UNDP, Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), the Women Organizing for Change in Agriculture and Natural Resource (WOCAN), the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). The workshop was led by AIT RRC.AP consultants and staff, namely, Dr. Peter King, Dr. Keith Bettinger and Mr. Armen Rostomyan, with support from Ms. Nat Pinnoi and Ms. Mari Tomova (Global Environmental Finance Unit, UNDP) and with online participation of the Green Climate Fund and the Adaptation Fund. The training programme on Managing Project Preparation for Climate Change Adaptation has been designed to enhance the capacity of participants to engage in or supervise the design and preparation of bankable climate change adaptation project proposals that effectively address the most important adaptation needs. It also aims to facilitate the sharing of experiences in developing a project proposal. The programme is currently offered under the umbrella of the Climate Change Asia (CCA) initiative and is jointly organised by AIT and UNDP.
