RRC.AP together with the Asia Pacific Network for Global Change Research
(APN), and the Low Carbon Asia Research Network (LoCARNet) co-organised
a joint workshop and science-policy dialogue at the Asian Institute of
Technology Conference Centre during 6 to 8 February 2017. The three-day
activities, involving plenary sessions, small group discussions, and a
role play game on risk management, addressed the themes of low carbon
development, adaptation and mitigation under the Paris Agreement, and
the water-food-energy nexus. Several projects funded by the APN were
discussed. Around forty representatives from academia, government, and
international organisations actively debated on how networking,
knowledge management, capacity building, and science and policy
interactions can be developed to strengthen the response to climate
change in Asia.
