​The Working Group Meeting of Acid Deposition Monitoring Network in East Asia (EANET) in 2022 (WG2022) was convened virtually from 24 to 25 August 2022. About 70 representatives from the EANET participating countries, namely, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Russia, Thailand and Vietnam, as well as the Secretariat and Network Center for the EANET, gathered online to discuss and review the proposed projects submitted to the EANET Project Fund and other matters related to the expansion of the scope of the EANET. At the session, eight project plans were presented and reviewed which focused on the effects of atmospheric deposition on ecosystems, capacity building and research fellowship programs, among others. The EANET project plans will be discussed further during the 22nd Session of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC22) meeting in October 2022 and finally submitted for approval at the 24th Session of the Intergovernmental meeting of EANET (IG24) in November 2022. The AIT RRC.AP had worked closely with the EANET Secretariat at UNEP in organizing the WG2022 virtual meeting.​
