Preparatory activities regarding the partnership between RRC.AP CCC and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Foundation's Regional Project Energy Security and Climate Change Asia Pacific  (KAS-RECAP)  to conduct the second edition of Youth Energy Academy (YEA) and follow up activities has been completed.

The second edition of YEA is being conducted virtually considering the current pandemic situation. The virtual mentoring series aims to follow up with the group of alumni from the first YEA, which represent 13 nationalities from South and Southeast Asia, first gathered in AIT in 2019. Through this series, the RRC.AP and partners including the Sustainable Energy Youth Network (SEYN) will aim to provide support to YEA alumni in further developing their projects and ideas and building their capacities to contribute to climate action and the sustainable energy transition. The virtual YEA is a 7 days programme that will consist of theoretical sessions, practical sessions and guided virtual tours. The theoretical sessions aim to provide background on the social, technical, policy, and financial considerations of decentralized renewable energy approaches. The practical sessions include basic DIY workshops, group work on various topics covered in the theoretical sessions, exercises and feedback from trainers and experts. The guided virtual tours would allow participants to "visit" the community and virtually "walk through" the sites. More details regarding the virtual YEA will be announced in the coming months.
